Nitrox Fuel Module INITROUS OXIDE

During the injection phase, additional fuel must be injected with Nitrous Oxide. The combustion of this additional fuel called "enrichment fuel" is the basis from which additional power is derived. Also, this additional fuel acts as a coolant to keep combustion temperatures within normal parameters. The FUEL MODULE with its 110 gallons per hour capacity pump assures us of more than ample fuel supply even for the most severe system requirements. Many of our customers desire to inject alternate fuels as an "enrichment fuel". Examples of which are racing gasoline, methyl alcohol (methanol), ethyl alcohol (ethanol), gasohol, and/or special lubricants during the injection phase. The most favored is methanol. Methanol possesses greater octane and detonation resistance than gasoline. This in conjunction with almost 3-1/2 times the cooling capability of gasoline makes it a wise choice for heavy charges of nitrous oxide to be used without the fear of detonation and thermal problems generally associated with pump gas. Methanol is virtually without peer as an enrichment fuel. (Note: A gasoline-enriched single engine Nitrox System Fuel Module, can satisfy both a carbureted Engine and Nitrous System Fuel requirements.

The NITROX FUEL MODULE I is completely plumbed, ready to Bolt-On with the following components:

  • Holly High Performance electric fuel pump rated at 110 GPH with fittings installed
  • Holly Max fuel pressure regulator
  • Chrome 0-15 PSI fuel pressure gauge
  • Pre-wired and plumbed, just mount and connect
  • Mounting bracket and screws
  • High Capacity in-line fuel filter
  • 20-amp fuse block included
  • Can supply nitrous system fuel (only) to dual engine set-ups
  • Optional Billet Aluminum Alcohol Proof Fuel Pump with Low Fuel Pressure Switch is shown

OPTIONAL:

  • Upgrade to billet style alcohol proof fuel pump
  • Low Fuel Pressure Safety Switch. In the event of fuel pressure lost to the nitrous system, the LFPS switch renders the system inoperable. If ordered, the LFPS switch is completely plumbed on the Fuel Module as an upgrade.
